Javier "Showtime" Vazquez is a world class instructor in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and submission grappling.

Javier earned his Black Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu under the renowned Carlson Gracie Team. He wrestled in college and started training in MMA in 1998. In his MMA career Javi (as he is called by many) has notable wins over Rumina Sato , Rob Emerson and Jens Pulver to name a few. In December 2009Sports Illustrated recognized Javi as the Most Inspirational Performance of the decade in MMA.

Javi married Rose Gracie and then started training with his brothers-in-law Ryron, Rener and Ralek at Gracie Academy in Torrance. With this world class experience, Javi has revolutionized the way he teaches martial arts forever.

Currently Javi fights for the WEC and teaches seminars locally in Los Angeles, Rancho Cucamonga and abroad.
