Javier "Showtime" Vazquez currently fights for the UFC and he is a WEC, EliteXC and King of the Cage veteran. Javi is also a world class instructor in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and submission grappling where he travels the US and abroad teaching seminars.

Javier earned his Black Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu under the renowned Carlson Gracie Team. He wrestled in college and started training in MMA in 1998. In his MMA career Javi (as he is called by many) has fought in all major organizations in the world including Shooto, EliteXC, WEC, and ultimately UFC. He has notable wins over Rumina Sato , Rob Emerson, Jens Pulver and Joe 'Daddy' Stevenson to name a few. In December 2009Sports Illustrated recognized Javi as the Most Inspirational Performance of the decade in MMA.

Javi married Rose Gracie and then started training with his brothers-in-law Ryron, Rener and Ralek at the Gracie Academy in Torrance. With this world class experience, Javi has revolutionized the way he teaches martial arts forever.
